👉🏽DOES APPLE CIDER VINEGAR REALLY WORK?⁣⁣

🔥FAT LOSS STUDY IN HUMANS:⁣⁣
ACV reduces body weight, visceral and subcutaneous fat, and serum triglycerides without causing adverse effects, at a dosage of 15ml per day, in 175 obese Japanese adults (Kondo et al., 2009). ⁣⁣
How? By inhibiting the expression of lipogenic genes for fat synthesis, via activating AMPK - fasting activates this same pathway!! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔬REDUCES THE GI OF FOOD:⁣⁣
Sugiyama and colleagues documented that the addition of vinegar to foods such as rice (eg, sushi) decreased the GI of by 20% to 35% (Sugiyama et al., 2003). A lower GI can translate to greater blood sugar control and less insulin spikes! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
⭐️PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS IN ACV:⁣⁣
Gallic acid, catechin, epicatechin, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and p‐coumaric acid are considered the main ones (Budak et al., 2011). These each have unique benefits too long for this post…⁣⁣

✅OTHER SCIENTIFIC BENEFITS:⁣⁣

-Cholesterol‐lowering effect (Budak et al., 2019)⁣⁣
(This is not medical advice)⁣⁣
⁣⁣
💥TAKEAWAY:⁣⁣
It appears that ACV may in fact earn a reputation among the list of truly "functional" foods. Just remember that ACV can damage your the enamel on your teeth, so be sure to use a straw, or reduce exposure time on teeth. For more health hacks, click the link in my bio!
